Speakers' bio:
Hans Tung
Hans is a Managing Partner at GGV Capital U.S., focusing on early-stage investments across the global digital economy ecosystem. He is consistently recognized among the top venture capital investors in the world, having been named to the Forbes Midas list 11 consecutive years from 2013-2023, and has been in the top 10 for the last 5 years. Mr. Tung currently also serves as an independent director of Poshmark, Inc. (a company listed on the NASDAQ (ticker: POSH), and has served on the board of directors of private companies including Shelf Engine in Seattle, Bowery Farming in New York City, Stockx in Detroit, Yamibuy in Los Angeles, and previously Musical.ly (which is now Tiktok) and Xiaomi. He holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Christine Tsai
Christine is the CEO and Founding Partner of 500 Global (formerly 500 Startups). Since the firm’s inception in 2010, she has grown 500 Global led the firm’s growth over the past decade from a startup accelerator to a multi-stage venture capital firm with $2.4B in assets under management, and investments in more than 2,800 companies in 80+ countries. Private Equity International has named Christine one of 10 Women of Influence in venture capital. She currently serves on the venture capital committee of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers, and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Christine holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Ling Wu
Ling is the Founder and CEO of TBCASoft, Inc., the leading cross-carrier blockchain technology company based in Silicon Valley, California. He is also Co-Chairman of the Carrier Blockchain Study Group (CBSG) Consortium. In September 2017, TBCASoft and SoftBank launched the CBSG Consortium with a plan to build a cross-carrier blockchain platform for telecom operators around the world. Prior to founding TBCASoft, Ling Wu played many key roles in BroadVision, the pioneer e-commerce technology company based in Silicon Valley. Ling Wu holds an MS degree of Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics from Stanford University, and a BS degree of Physics from National Taiwan University.
