Ron specializes in helping high tech leaders reach their full career potential. He has been a mentor with MJAA since 2010. Prior to this, Ron has recruited and developed hundreds of top performers and leaders while holding senior management, VP, and executive roles at market leaders like Salesforce.com, Oracle, Hyperion as well as startups. Ron continues to serve as a Director for the Alliance of CEOs and is also a Platinum Partner of Financial Executives International – Silicon Valley, a national membership organization for CFOs.

DENISE PECK

Executive Advisor, Ascend

Denise is currently an Executive Advisor to Ascend, the largest nonprofit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America. Denise co-developed and teaches various leadership skills development programs targeted at helping Pan-Asian professionals and managers to succeed in their careers. She continues to provide mentoring and executive coaching services to people at all career stages. Denise is a former executive of Cisco Systems and held a number of VP positions in marketing, operations, engineering services, and IT in San Jose, California and Shanghai, China. Denise was a long time executive sponsor and advocate of Cisco’s diversity initiatives, particularly on behalf of women and Asian employee networks. Prior to Cisco, Denise held senior marketing management positions at Sun Microsystems. Denise has a BA degree in Economics from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University.

STEWART WU

VP of Marketing & Business Development, Cortina Access, University of Washington EE Advisory Board

Stewart is the epitome of a successful entrepreneur, who throughout his career has successfully founded several successful startups and sold them to large companies.

Early in his career he spent many years designing the baseband communication ICs at Chips & Technologies (acquired by Intel) and later at Cirrus Logic. He also spearheaded the networking department at Quality Semiconductors, Inc. (acquired by IDT).

Stewart would then go on to found Altima Communications Inc, which initially focused on producing Ethernet IC targeting SMB/SOHO markets. As Altima’s President and CEO, he would lead the charge to capture the emerging home router market. After selling Altima to Broadcom, he became the general manager for the SMB/SOHO Networking Business Unit at Broadcom.

Stewart later founded Storlink Semiconductors with the vision of revolutionizing the home networking infrastructure. He is currently VP of Marketing and Business development at Cortina Access. following the acquisition of StorLink Semiconductors Inc.

He holds a MSEE and later a PhD in EE from University of Washington.

FAYE SAHAI

Faye is a Partner at Mirai Global, a Senior Advisor at Exponential Talent, and a Managing Director at Vinaj Ventures and Telosity Fund investing in digital health startups.  She serves on the Board of Director at Ayogo Health, Ascend Leadership, Berger Research, Claremont McKenna Alumni and as an advisor to UCSF Catalyst, Samsung Emerging Tech, Food System 6, Exponential Talent,  Somnology MD, Asian Foundation Lotus Circle, AI and Healthcare Publication, and Innovation Executive Forum. She is a sought-after speaker and trainer. She has worked with and presented at Consumer Electronic Show (CES), ABIM, Chief Innovation Officer Summit, Venture Beat, Apps World, Watermark, Smart City, UCLA, Monte Jade Science and Technology, Blue Print, ACG Silicon Valley, UIX Global, Women in Tech, Institute for Health Technology Transformation, C200, Alchemist Accelerator, Plug & Play, EY Disruptive Innovation, Worth Conference, Insure Disrupt, CDX and others. Faye earned her MBA from Anderson School of Business, UCLA and BA in Economics & Psychology at Claremont McKenna College.

ROBERT FAN

President SMI USA, Silicon Motion

Robert Fan is the President of Silicon Motion Inc. U.S.A. managing the business in the U.S. and Europe regions for Silicon Motion Inc. (NASDAQ:  SIMO) – a world leader in NAND storage controller solutions.   Robert oversees the largest revenue region which grew at 35% CAGR in the past eight years since he assumed the role.  He is also responsible for corporate Marcom/PR, strategic partnerships and investments, and serves as the General Manager of the burgeoning graphics product line.   Prior to Silicon Motion, Robert served in executive positions at companies such as Spansion, IDT and startups like Berkana Wireless (acquired by Qualcomm) and Resonext (acquired by RF Micro Devices) and spent 9+ years at Intel in sales, marketing, and management positions.  

Robert is currently a board member of Monte Jade Science & Technology Association and volunteers as a mentor in the association’s esteemed executive mentorship program.  Robert advises startup companies and also speaks publicly on subjects ranging from technology, semiconductor market, leadership and sales.  He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the U.C. Berkeley, MSEE from Santa Clara University, and completed the General Management Executive Program at McCombs School of Business, University of Texas.

Wilson Cheung

Consultant CFO, Early Growth

Wilson currently serves as a consulting CFO with Early Growth Financial Services, working closely with startup founders and entrepreneurs on their finance and business strategies.  He has more than 20 years of Chief Financial Officer experience, including lead to a successful public stock offering for Network Peripheral, as well as leading other venture backed entities, such as Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die, to become strong mid-tier enterprises.  Wilson is a CPA, starting his career in the SF Bay Area at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), followed by senior financial analyst positions at Raychem (now Tyco Electronics), and then Sybase (now SAP).  Wilson grew up in San Francisco and is dedicated to working with many local non-profit organizations including Self-help for the Elderly, AchievedKids (children afflicted with autism) and Ascend.

Kimberly Marcelis

Former VP Strategy & Planning, Cisco

During her 30 years as a strategy consultant and operations executive, Kim benefitted from and learned the value of having mentors.  She developed expertise in cross-functional collaboration and influencing without authority which enabled her to become an advisor to Cisco’s CXOs.  Kim’s leadership was recognized by the Professional Business Women of California, the SF Chamber of Commerce, the National Eagle Leadership Institute and the Silicon Valley YWCA.  She has a deep commitment to assisting Pan-Asians in reaching their career goals and developing the soft skills that are critical in executive leadership.  While at Cisco, Kim was the executive sponsor for the Asian employee network and created a highly successful nine-month training program for the Asian community (25% of participants were promoted within 12 months of completing the program).  Kim graduated magna cum laude in Russian with departmental honors from Bryn Mawr College.  She also earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business.

XIAOJING FAN

Chief Accounting Officer, Eventbrite Inc.

Xiaojing currently serves as the Chief Accounting Officer at Eventbrite, leading global accounting teams, finance operations and SEC reporting. Prior to this role, she was Corporate Controller at PayPal and helped build the company’s corporate controllership as a stand-alone public company post-split from eBay in2015. She also held several leadership positions across Finance functions at eBay Corporate Treasury and PayPal Global FP&A. Before joining eBay /PayPal, she was a Director with KPMG Advisory Services based in Silicon Valley. She has over 10 years’ "Big Four" financial and business management experience in the U.S. and China. Xiaojing holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, focused in Finance and Corporate Strategy and a Bachelor degree from Fudan University in Shanghai, major in International Economics.

LARRY CHANG

Executive Advisor, Ascend

Larry is an Executive Advisor at Ascend, an organization for Asian-American leaders in Corporate America. He joined the Ascend Board in 2008 and was the co-President Northern California Chapter from 2009 to 2012.  Larry co-leads the development of an online, innovative leadership talk show for young professionals. Larry was elected to the board of Silicon Valley FACES in 2016. He was a personal advisor to the CFO and COO of Haier from 2007 to 2009. Larry was a former executive at Hewlett-Packard holding a number of SVP positions in supply chain and finance. Larry earned his BSE from the University of Michigan and MBA from the U.C. Berkeley Haas.

KC WU

Ex-SVP of Operation, Cisco

Kin-Ching (KC) Wu, focuses on mentoring to help break the glass and bamboo ceiling. KC is an ex-Cisco SVP of Operations Architecture. Prior to that, KC spent 7 years at Quantic Industries, an aerospace and defense company, where she held leadership positions in manufacturing engineering and production control. KC earned a BS degree in mathematics and chemistry from Indiana University and an MS degree in industrial engineering from U.C. Berkeley.

PETER CHU

Board Member, Startups Advisor

Peter is currently a board member and advisor to startups in fintech, education and media. He was the CFO and VP of Strategy and Product Management at BroadVision, Inc. Prior to that, Peter was Managing Partner at AsiaTech Ventures and Senior Advisor at Inspirior, LLC. Peter has a strong background in managing projects for investments, strategy and M&A development, and operational growth on cross-border opportunities between US, Japan and Greater China. Peter also served as a COO, Executive Chairman, co-founder and president of various tech companies throughout his career. Peter is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and strategic advisor. He holds a BSEE degree from Stanford University and an MBA degree from Harvard University. He was formerly the Chairman of Monte Jade West.

LINDA FENG

Software Architect, Unicon Inc.

Linda Feng is a software architect at Unicon, a leading consulting firm specializing in open source for EdTech. Prior to joining Unicon, Linda was a Senior Product Manager expert in Platform Strategy and Standards. Linda has over 20 years of experience in database server and applications product development at Oracle. She earned her a patent for multidimensional indexing techniques present in Oracle's Spatial Cartridge

today. She recently served as co-chair of the IMS Global Learning Initiative Learning Information Services Working Group, helping to bring a new Enterprise interoperability standard to market. Linda earned her BS in EE and Computer Science from Stanford University.

DAVID JENG

CEO, Wintec Industries, Inc.

David currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board for Wintec. Prior to this role, David served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Wintec’s Manufacturing Business driving improved EBITDA performance and building out the team. David also served as Chief Strategy Officer prior focused on Merger and Acquisitions along with owning the long-term strategy of all operating divisions. He also served as Vice President of the Retail division where he pivoted the business to a scalable business model. David also served as Vice President of Operations in which he oversaw the logistics and operating portions of the business. During that time he also started the Retail division.

David currently is the Secretary General of Monte Jade West Science and Technology Association which focuses on the cross border development of technology and commerce.  He has also held other roles in Monte Jade including Chairman of the Board and Vice Chair. David has also held positions on Investment Advisory Committee for Hanhai Investments which specializes on technology startups along with numerous advisory positions at early stage technology startup companies. David received his Bachelors in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
