Yaw Wen Hu, currently is with Silicon Storage Technology, Inc., as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

SST is a fabless company, offering a diversified range of memory and non-memory products. SST is a leading provider of nonvolatile memory solutions including high functionality flash memory components and flash mass storage products like NANDrive. The company also licenses its proprietary, and very successful SuperFlash technology for the embedded flash applications. SST's non-memory products include NAND controller-based products, flash microcontrollers and RF ICs.

Yaw Wen Hu joined SST in 1993 as Vice President, Process Development. In 2004, he assumed the current position. Yaw Wen Hu has been a member of SST's Board of Directors since September 1995.

Prior to SST, he worked at Intel, Mosel Vitelic and IDT.

Yaw Wen Hu holds a B.S. in Physics from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University.

Lilly Chung is a Lead Client Service Partner at Deloitte LLP. She also leads its semiconductor affinity group, women's initiative, and China Gateway initiative. Deloitte is one of the largest professional services firms globally with over $27 billion in revenue. Deloitte provides audit, tax, management consulting, and financial advisory services to clients from startups to Fortune 50 companies.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Lilly worked at Fairchild and Xerox in Palo Alto, Pictron, CSC Index, and E&Y.

Lilly holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Owen Wu (吳國增)

Dr. Owen Wu is an entrepreneur and specialist in nano-surface science. He is the General Manager of USTI based in Santa Clara, CA, and Chairman of DNT International based in Torrance, California. In 1996, he founded American Communication Technology (ACT), which was later acquired by Global Communication Semiconductors (GCS). During 1997-2002, Dr. Wu was appointed as CEO of GCS, a leading compound semiconductor pure-play foundry for wireless and fiber optical communication industries. Previously, he was the program head and principal scientist of infrared optoelectronics at Hughes Research Laboratory. In 1995, his team received the National Herschel Award. He was twice awarded the Electro-Optic Sensors & Technology Network Council Award in recognition of truly significant and innovative contribution in infrared technology. He is the founding chairman of Southern California Monte Jade and SCMJ Foundation, and is currently serving as Chairman of Global Monte Jade. He sits on the board of three private companies - MCSP, USTI & Pac-Eng. Dr. Wu received his BS from National Tsing-Hua University and Ph.D degrees in Surface Chemistry at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He did his postdoctoral research at Argonne National Laboratory and completed an executive management program at Stanford University.

Philip I. Asmundson

Phil Asmundson has over 25 years' experience counseling and serving many of the world's most prominent technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) companies. As Deloitte LLP's National Managing Partner for TMT, he is responsible for developing strategy for the practice, which includes over $1 billion in professional services revenues, and coordinating overall services to industry clients. These services span Deloitte U.S. member firms' key functional areas - consulting, audit, tax, and financial advisory - and in combination help clients navigate the emerging and robust marketplace driven by the convergence of wireless, Internet technologies and content. He also serves as lead client service partner or advisory partner on some of the practice's largest accounts.

An audit partner by background, Asmundson has served clients in such areas as strategy evaluation/development, mergers and acquisitions, accounting and auditing, control process design and performance enhancement. Asmundson has worked with virtually all sub-sectors of TMT including networking technology, optic fiber technology, cable operators, content providers, LECs, CLECs, IXCs, wireless and satellite.

Asmundson is one of Deloitte's designated thought leaders and is an active speaker and author on industry trends, challenges and opportunities. He is regularly quoted on emerging industry issues and has recorded several podcasts on predictions for the TMT industry.

John Boesel
CEO & President, CALSTART

John Boesel is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CALSTART. The public/private nature of CALSTART is reflected in John's background. Upon graduating from the University of California, Davis, in 1982, John worked in the California legislature as a legislative aide to then Assemblyman (now Congressman) Sam Farr. In that position he managed energy and environmental legislation for nearly four years.

He received his MBA from the Haas School at UC Berkeley in 1989. After graduating from business school he worked as a commercial banker in Wells Fargo's Corporate Headquarters building in San Francisco. In 1993 John joined CALSTART as the Vice President of Technology Programs. In 2001 the Board of Directors promoted him to the position of President and CEO.

John serves on the Advisory Board for the Precourt Energy Efficiency Center (PEEC) at Stanford University and is also a board member of the Clean Vehicle Foundation.

Bruce Cheng (鄭崇華)

Bruce C.H. Cheng is the founder and chairman of Delta Group. Under his leadership, Delta has sustained 37 years of vigorous growth to become a world leader in power supplies and electronic components that are employed throughout the global computer, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and networking industries.

Currently the world's number one provider of switching power supplies, Delta is a major source for power management, components, visual displays, industrial automation, networking, and renewable energy products. Mr. Cheng has built Delta Electronics into an internationally recognized, award-winning organization. Mr. Cheng has been called Taiwan's first "Chief Environmental Officer" by the Taiwan media. Since the beginning, Mr. Cheng has dedicated the company to preserving the natural environment through product innovation and energy-saving technologies. In 1990, he established the Delta Electronics Foundation to promote environmental and natural resource conservation. Delta has also joined with Nokia, HP, NTT, and Philips as a member of MIT's Oxygen Alliance to develop human-centered computer technology.

Mr. Cheng founded Delta Electronics in 1971 to produce television components. Prior to that, he held management positions at TRW in engineering, production, and quality control. Mr. Cheng began his career as an aeronautic instrument engineer at Air Asia Co. after receiving a BSEE degree from National Cheng Kung University.

In 2007, Mr. Cheng received an honorary doctorate from National Central University's (NCU) College of Earth Sciences and an honorary doctorate in engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in recognition of his promotion of environmental sustainability while pursuing advances in technology and his outstanding contributions to the development of the world's electronics industry, respectively. In 2006, the Chinese Management Association (CMA) presented Mr. Cheng with its highest management award. Another honor conferred upon Mr. Cheng in 2006, was an honorary doctorate in engineering from National Tsing Hua University.

Peter Chu (曲鎮宇)
Managing Partner, AsiaTech Ventures

For over a decade Peter Chu has been a Managing Partner at AsiaTech Ventures a trans-Pacific venture capital firm. Peter is responsible for US investments, operations, business development and partnerships. In addition, Peter facilitates the technology transfer from companies in the US to portfolio companies in Asia and helps bring Asian resources and opportunities to the US companies. His investments include EachNet (acquired EBay), PCNAlert, Vialto, and StarCite/OnVantage.

Most recently Peter served as the COO at ApaceWave Technologies, a leader in the development of baseband SoCs for the global WiMAX/OFDMA industry. In the past, Peter was the Chairman of PCNAlert (acquired by IHS), and served as board members at Vialto (acquired by Cisco) and StarCite/OnVantage, Inc. In the mid-90s, he co-founded Envive/ReliaSoft, an enterprise and Internet provider of performance management solutions (acquired by Keynote) and Channel A, a pioneer in Asian Internet content and commerce start-up. He started his career at software firms Oracle and Verity in marketing and software services.

Peter has over 20 years of entrepreneurial, private and public company management and growth experience - he is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and strategic advisor/board member. He holds a BSEE from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University. He currently serves as a board director at Monte Jade West Coast, a premier technology association that spans US and Greater China. Additionally, he is on the Board of Ceiva Logic and holds board/advisory roles in early stage startups and trans-Pacific advisory firms.

Terry Gou (郭台銘)

Ta-lin Hsu (徐大麟)

Dr. Ta-lin Hsu is Chairman of H&Q Asia Pacific and has been investing in Asia for over 20 years. He joined Hambrecht & Quist Group in 1985 as a General Partner and founded H&Q Asia Pacific in 1986. Since inception, H&Q Asia Pacific has managed over $2.6 billion in capital, operates from seven offices throughout the region and has invested in more than 350 companies. Before joining Hambrecht & Quist, Dr. Hsu worked at IBM for 12 years. In his last position, Dr. Hsu held corporate responsibility for all of IBM's advanced research in mass storage systems and technology. Dr. Hsu was born in mainland China in 1943.

H&Q Asia Pacific is recognized as a pioneer of Asian venture capital and private equity in a number of respects, including being the first firm to bring "Silicon Valley" style venture capital to Taiwan in 1986, one of the first funds to enter China in 1993, one of the first firms to successfully migrate a leading international retail brand to China (Starbucks China), and the first firm to take a foreign company public on the Emerging Markets Board of the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2009 (Array Networks).

Erfan Ibrahim

Erfan Ibrahim is a Technical Executive in the Intelligrid program area of the Power Delivery & Utilization Sector. His current research activities focus on the communications infrastructure for the utility Smart Grid with particular emphasis on Home Area Networks (HAN), Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Building Automation Networks (BAN) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).

Before joining EPRI, Dr. Ibrahim founded and managed The Bit Bazaar LLC (TBB), a full service IT and business consulting firm, offering services to clients in the High Tech, Financial Services, and Energy sectors. At TBB Dr. Ibrahim focused on wireless communications, network management, and information security technologies with a particular emphasis on aligning the IT goals of his clients with their business goals for sustained competitive advantage.

Prior to establishing The Bit Bazaar LLC, Dr. Ibrahim's career included the following positions: VP of Sales & Marketing at Jyra Research, Product Manager for Network Management at Pacific Bell Network Integration (now AT&T), Science and Math Lecturer at National University, Nuclear Fusion Research Engineer at UCLA and Plasma Physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Lab.

Dr. Ibrahim received a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from University of California Berkeley, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas Austin, and a B.S. David Lee (李信麟)

David S. Lee is Chairman of the Board for eOn Communications Corporation, Cortelco, and Symbio. Mr. Lee was a member of the President's Council on the 21st Century Workforce, appointed by President George Bush Jr., and Mr. Lee is Regent Emeritus for the University of California. Mr. Lee also serves as a Senior Advisor to Silver Lake Partners.

Mr. Lee originally co-founded Qume Corporation in 1973 and served as Executive Vice President until it was acquired by ITT Corporation in 1978. After the acquisition, Mr. Lee held the positions of Executive Vice President of ITT Qume until 1981, and President through 1983. From 1983 to 1985, he served as a Vice President of ITT and as Group Executive and Chairman of its Business Information Systems Group. In 1985, he became President and Chairman of Data Technology Corporation and in 1988, Data Technology Corporation bought Qume and merged both companies.

Earlier, Mr. Lee was Manager of Printer Engineering at Diablo Systems where he led the team that perfected the daisywheel printer.

Currently, Mr. Lee is a member of the Board of Directors for the following business related ventures: Linear Technology Corporation, Daily Wellness Co., and Honorary President of Asian Cultural Teachings. He was also an advisor to President Bush and President Clinton through the Advisory Committee on Trade Policy and Negotiation (Office of the U.S. Trade Representative / Executive Office of the President) for two terms and additionally to Governor Pete Wilson through the California Economic Development Corporation (CalEDC) and the Council on California Competitiveness, and a Charter Member of the Minority Business Roundtable. Mr. Lee was the Commissioner of California Postsecondary Education Commission and served on the Board of Governors for California Community Colleges, the founder and Chairman of CIE, AAMA, and Monte Jade Science and Technology Association, as well as being the founder and board member of the Tech Museum of Innovation.

Mr. Lee has received numerous awards for his contributions to high technology and local communities. Amongst them, he received the Asian/Pacific American Heritage Award from President Bush in May, 1992. Others include the Excellence 2000 Award, the Mid-America Chinese Science & Technology Association Outstanding Achievement Award, Asian American High Technology Convention Award, the Chinese Institute of Engineers - U.S.A. Achievement Award, the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California's Business Entrepreneur Award, the Albert Einstein Technology Medal for Entrepreneurship from the Government of Israel, the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame Laureate 2000, the AAMA 2006 Leadership Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award 2008 by the Commonwealth Club of California.

Born in China, Mr. Lee holds an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering and B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University and a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Mark Lee is the founder and CEO / President of DeviceVM. DeviceVM is the creator of Splashtop, the leading instant-on browser OS shipping on over 100 million PCs annually from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, Sony, and others. DeviceVM raised over $36M investment from VCs and corporate investors. Splashtop has been featured on the front page of New York Times and USA Today, and received innovation awards from PC World, CES, Popular Science, Wired Magazine, and others. DeviceVM has over 260 employees in San Jose, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Taipei today.

Prior to DeviceVM, Mark was founder and CEO of OSA Technologies, which was acquired by Avocent in April of 2004 for over $100M USD. Mark continued to serve as the Senior VP and GM of embedded software division until June of 2006. OSA received $20M in funding from Intel, Dell, Hitachi Ventures, Storm Ventures, Quanta Computer, UMC, and executives from OEMs.

Prior to OSA, Mark spent 8 years at Intel Corporation, with experiences in software development, chip design, marketing and corporate venture investing. Prior to joining Intel, Lee consulted for McKinsey & Company, IBM, Microsoft, MIT Sloan School, MIT LCS/AI Lab, and MIT Media Lab.

Mark serves on the Board of Ninetowns Internet Technology (NASDAQ: NINE), a China software company. Mark is in the Executive Club of Hua Yuan Science & Technology Association (HYSTA), and is on the Board of Linux Foundation. Mark also serves on the advisory board of various private companies, and is also limited partners to several Silicon Valley angel funds as well as VC funds.

Mark holds master degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT, and an executive MBA degree from Arizona State University, sponsored by Intel.

Before founding NSP, Dr. Lin was Senior Vice President of TSMC responsible for marketing and sales, IC design services, corporate development, etc. During his 15 years of service at TSMC, Dr. Lin developed extensive relationships with semiconductor companies worldwide. He has led his team to demonstrate success both at group and individual levels receiving, among other awards, the Asia's Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise Award, e-Asia Award (by AFACT), Service Excellence Award (by Accenture and Common Wealth Magazine), Ken Sharma Award (by i2), and the e-Business Accomplishment Award (by Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan).

Dr. Lin has been active in professional services. He was Vice Chairman of National Information and Communications Initiative Committee, Founder and Vice Chairman of Global RosettaNet Semiconductor Manufacturing Organization, Executive Board Director of Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association, and Executive Board Director of HsinChu Science Park Industry Association.

Before joining TSMC, Dr. Lin worked at AT&T Bell Labs in New Jersey, USA. He specialized in commercialization of new technologies where he received AT&T Architecture Award and Distinguished Contributions Awards. Before joining Bell Labs Dr. Lin was Assistant Professor at the Summerfield School of Business of the University of Kansas.

In 2008, Dr. Lin was elected by Global Views Magazine and National Chiao-Tung University as one of the most Influential 50 Alumni of National Chiao-Tung University.

David Louie has been a reporter for ABC7 News for 35 years. He has tracked the emergence of Silicon Valley as the high tech capital of the world and the growth of the Bay Area as a key hub of the Pacific Rim economy. He has been on top of the region's biggest stories - from the kidnap of heiress Patricia Hearst to the Loma Prieta earthquake. Along the way, he has received national and local recognition, including three Emmy Awards.

Louie joined ABC7 in 1972 after graduation from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, becoming the station's first and the Bay Area's senior Asian American reporter. He has been the East Bay and Peninsula bureau chief, business and technology editor, and financial news anchor, reporting live from the floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange.

In 1996, Louie was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA). He was AAJA national president for two years

In 1994, Louie was the first minority elected Chairman of the Board of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which bestows TV's coveted Emmy Award. In that capacity, he launched the Academy's Web site, expanded a national program on media literacy for secondary school students, and created a $20,000 annual scholarship program. He's also appeared on the Daytime Emmy Awards

Other honors include national awards from the Organization of Chinese Americans and the National Asian Peace Officers Association. He is a charter member of the Hall of Achievement at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism and a member of the Alumni Hall of Fame at Lakewood (Ohio) High School. Prior to his current role, Matsumura served as vice president of SOA product marketing at webMethods and vice president of worldwide marketing at Infravio. Dr. William F. Miller has spent about half of his professional life in business and about half in academia.

Dr.Miller was the last faculty member recruited to Stanford University by the legendary Frederick Terman who was then Vice President and Provost of Stanford .Miller, himself, later became Vice President and Provost of Stanford (1971-1979). He conducted research and directed many graduate students in Computer Science. Prior to Stanford he was Director of the Applied Mathematics Division at the Argonne National Laboratory.There he was actively engaged in developing computational science.

In 1968 Dr. Miller also played a role in the founding of the first Mayfield Fund(venture capital) as a special limited partner and advisor to the general partners. He became the Herbert Hoover Professor of Public and Private Management in the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1979.

As President and CEO of SRI International (1979-1990) Miller opened SRI to the Pacific Region,he established the spin-out and commercialization program at SRI and established the David Sarnoff Research Center(now the Sarnoff Corporation) as a for-profit subsidiary of SRI.He became the Chairman and CEO.

Dr. Rutter is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Synergenics LLC, which provides strategic science and business advice to concept-stage biotechnology startup companies. Dr. Rutter also serves as Chairman Emeritus of Chiron, the company he co-founded in 1981. As Chairman of the Board and the executive committee from Chiron's inception until 1999, Dr. Rutter was involved directly in management of virtually all activities of the company, especially in operations. He had direct responsibilities of Research and Development, Vaccines, Diagnostics, Strategic Planning, Business Development and Legal; he negotiated all major deals. Dr. Rutter also serves on the board of trustees of the Carnegie Institution of Washington. A member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he has published more than 380 scientific articles and holds more than 20 patents and patent applications. Dr. Rutter served as director of the Hormone Research Institute at the University of California, San Francisco, (UCSF) from 1983 to 1989 and chairman of the university's department of biochemistry and biophysics from 1979 to 1982. Chintay Shih (史欽泰)

Former President, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)

Dr. Chintay Shih received his Ph.D. in EE from Princeton University, M.S. in management from Stanford University, and his B.S. in EE from National Taiwan University. He joined ITRI in 1976, and became part of the original 40 person team that transferred the CMOS process from RCA New Jersey to Taiwan. He spent 28 years at ITRI. He ran the Electronics Research Service Organization (ERSO) from 1984-89, the Executive Vice President of ITRI from 1989-94, and served as president from 1994-2003.

While at ITRI, Dr. Shih played key roles in the spin-off United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Vanguard Semiconductor (VIS), and Taiwan Mask Company (TMC). As President of ITRI (1994-2003), Dr. Shih established the open laboratory program to strengthen the collaboration ties between the Industry and ITRI. He also initiated the Advanced Research Program to excel ITRI as a world class research institute.

In 2004, Dr Shih joined National Tsing Hua University as the Dean of the College of Technology Management. He set up the first Institute of Service Science in Taiwan (2007)

Dr. Shih is a Fellow of IEEE. He has served as chairman of the Taiwan Semiconductor Association (1996-2000), Chairman of the Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Association (1997-2009), President of the Chinese Institute of Engineers (1998-2000), Chairman of the Chinese Society for Management of Technology (1995-2000), Chairman of the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (1993-1995), and Managing director of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Manufactures' Association (1995-2000), and Chairman of Taiwan Monte jade Science & technology Association (2005-2009). Dr. Shih also served as a Technology Advisor to the Executive Yuan of the government of Taiwan and member of Economics advisory committee to the Vice President of Taiwan.

Dr. Shih is currently the Dean of the College of Technology Management, National Tsinghua University and he also serves as the Chairman of Institute for Information Industry (III).

Willy Shih

Willy Shih is a Professor of Management Practice, having joined Technology and Operations Management in January 2007. He teaches Technology and Operations Management in the first year required curriculum, as well as Building and Sustaining a Successful Enterprise in the second year elective curriculum. He also teaches in the Executive Education program.

Prior to joining the Harvard Business School, Willy spent 18 years in the computer industry, 14 at IBM, mostly in product development. He subsequently managed Digital Equipment Corporation's Alpha microprocessor-based engineering workstation business, and its Windows NT and UNIX marketing operations. This was followed by a stint at Silicon Graphics Computer Systems, where he led marketing for the Advanced Systems Division and its high-performance computing systems and advanced graphics systems.

From the computer industry, Willy moved into consumer electronics. From 1997 until early 2005, Willy was president of the Consumer Digital unit at Eastman Kodak where he oversaw the establishment and growth of the consumer digital camera and associated consumables and service businesses to the first $1 billion in revenue. Most recently, he was an Executive Vice-President at Thomson, based in Paris, France, where he was co-head of the Technology Group. He oversaw Corporate Research, Intellectual Property & Licensing, and two smaller businesses.

Willy is an experienced practitioner in the field of intellectual property, having structured numerous IP licensing programs, with work in license negotiations and litigation. Willy has S.B. degrees in both Chemistry and Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. He serves on the board of directors of Atheros Communications, Inc., Santa Clara, CA, and Singapore registered Flextronics International.

Dr. Henry Tirri is Senior Vice President and Head of Nokia Research Center (NRC). As Head of Nokia Research Center, Henry is responsible for labs worldwide that pursue disruptive innovation. NRC works closely with all Nokia operating units and promotes open innovation, working on research projects in collaboration with leading universities and research institutes around the world.

Henry joined Nokia in 2004 as a Research Fellow in the Software and Applications Laboratory. Henry holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki, Finland. In addition to his Nokia role, he is also an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki and an Adjunct Professor of Computational Engineering at the Helsinki University of Technology. He has extensive experience in running research activities in the fields of intelligent systems and networking and his personal research interests span artificial intelligence, information theory, search technologies and wireless sensor networks.

Before joining Nokia, Henry was a Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Graduate School and the Intelligent Systems Laboratory at the University of Helsinki, leading a large, world-class research group in probabilistic modeling. Previous positions include working as a Research Scientist at Microelectronics and ComputerTechnology Corporation (MCC), MTS at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Visiting Scientist at NASA AMES where he contributed to the Mars Rover technology for the 2003 mission.

In the academic world, Henry has been a Visiting Professor at Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley. He was also Vice President of Scientific Operations and Co-Founder of Ekahau. He is the author and co-author of more than 175 academic papers in various fields of computer science, social sciences and statistics and holds five patents.

Stanley Wang is the Founder, President and CEO of Pantronix Corporation, a high technology company in Silicon Valley. Established in 1974 the company serves the medical, aerospace, semiconductor, defense, energy and telecommunication industries.

Stanley has a BS Degree from National Taiwan University, an MBA degree from Temple University and an Honorary PhD from the California State University.

Since 1989, Stanley has founded two factories in the Philippines and another in KunShan, China specializing in volume technology services for the medical, computer, fiber optic, photonic and telecommunication fields.

Stanley has been involved in the founding and management of numerous organizations including Monte Jade Science and Technology Association, CIE, CASPA and AAMA. Monte Jade supports the exchange of technology, information and investment between Asia and the US. Stanley is also a member of the prestigious Committee of 100 whose membership roster includes Yo Yo Ma and I.M. Pei.

Education is a top priority for Stanley. In 1994 he was appointed by the Governor of California, Pete Wilson, to serve for 8 years on the Board of Trustees California State University. During his tenure Stanley established the Wang Family Award of Excellence, recognizing outstanding performance of educators and administrators at CSU. He has also created a fund forging academic links for student and faculty overseas study between CSU and universities in Taiwan and China. In 2008 Stanley established The Wang Family Professorship in the College of Business & Economics at CSU East Bay. He has worked to improve job training programs and helped schools secure modern technology as a chair of the Congressional Community College Caucus.

Wu knows that innovation is the key to sustained economic growth, a healthy small business community, and the development of new green technologies to protect our environment. To grow Oregon's innovation economy, Wu uses his role as chair of the Science Committee's Subcommittee on Technology and Innovation to encourage new business investment and high-tech research. Because economic growth is based on turning new technology into commercial products and services, he is committed to overseeing strong tech transfer programs. As a member of the New Democrat Coalition, a group of moderate Democrats in the House, Wu helps craft smart policies to create stable, well-paying jobs and ensure our competitiveness for years to come.

The first Chinese American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives, Wu is a constant supporter of efforts to protect and secure human rights and civil liberties at home and abroad. He is the former chairman and current Education Taskforce chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, as well as a member of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China.

Wu has lived the American dream. In October of 1961, at six years of age, he moved with his family to the United States after President John F. Kennedy signed an executive order updating unfair immigration quotas. He was educated in public schools, earned a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University in 1977, attended Harvard Medical School, and received a law degree from Yale University in 1982.

Early in his legal career, Wu clerked for a federal judge in Portland. He joined the Miller Nash law firm in 1984, and in 1988, co-founded the law firm Cohen & Wu. For a decade, the Cohen & Wu firm served the high-technology industry and numerous small businesses across northwest Oregon. Wu counts his work helping build new businesses that have thrived and provided well-paying jobs for Oregonians as among his proudest accomplishments during this time. His fifteen years of experience in the Portland business and high-technology communities make him uniquely qualified to represent the "Silicon Forest" district in Congress.

Ed Yang retired in 2005 after over 25 years of services with Hewlett-Packard Company in Silicon Valley. Since then, Ed has served as advisor to a number of IT organizations, as well as independent board member for several public (Lite-On 光寶, Pericom and SST) and private companies. Additionally Ed is currently a partner of iD Ventures America LLC 智融美洲.

Ed has been working for Hewlett-Packard since 1980 in various positions.

He served on the Board of Director of the San Jose Tech Museum. Ed also served as Chairman of several leading Chinese American associations in the United States and around the world such as Monte Jade Science & Technology (Global and Silicon Valley), Chinese Institute of Engineering (San Francisco Bay Area Chapter) and Chinese Software Professional Association.

Terry Yen
VP of Marketing, Qualcomm CDMA Technologies

Terry Yen serves as vice president of marketing for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT), where he is responsible for overseeing the division's global marketing, public relations, and partner programs. Yen has been instrumental in building Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset brand and leading the company's entry into adjacent markets.

Prior to his current role, Yen served as director of business development for QCT where he managed relationships with wireless operators in Asia. He was responsible for introducing the division's product portfolio to key partners in the region and helping build and maintain strong business relationships.

Yen has also held positions as a management consultant with Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath, and as a project engineer with AlliedSignal Aerospace. He holds bachelor of science and masters of science degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Cornell University.

Albert Yu (虞有澄)

Dr. Yu is Chairman of OneAngstrom LLC, and has been active in investing and mentoring high technology companies as member of the boards and advisory councils. Albert has been active in mentoring aspiring young executives. Albert is also Chairman of the Kelvin Foundation and a Consulting Professor at Stanford University and has been supporting leading edge research in bioengineering, medical and energy fields.

Dr. Yu retired from Intel Corporation in late ' 02, after almost thirty years with the company. He had been Senior Vice President, member of the Corporate Management Committee and General Manager of the heart of Intel's business: microprocessors, chipsets and software for over sixteen years. Under his leadership, Intel's microprocessors have become the brains for almost for all the computing and internet devices which propelled Intel to be the largest semiconductor company in the world. He also started Intel's research laboratories around the world.

Prior to Intel, he was with Fairchild R&D Lab, where he conducted research and development of solid-state devices and circuits. Albert received his bachelor's degree from California Institute of Technology and his master's and doctorate degrees from Stanford University, all in electrical engineering. He received the "Distinguished Life Time Achievement Award" from CIE-USA in Feb ' 06, among many other awards for his outstanding leadership of Intel's microprocessor business. Yu has published over 30 technical papers and two books: "Insider's View of Intel" (1995) and "Creating the Digital Future" (1998).
